Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have seen something to come forward

A 20-year-old local man has been arrested following a knifepoint holdup at a Shell filling station in Corby, Northamptonshire, over the weekend.

Detectives from Northamptonshire Police say the incident occurred at 7:30m on Saturday, December 6.

While a suspect is now in custody, police are appealing to members of the public for help following the robbery, which saw the perpetrator threaten a staff member with a knife before making off “with a quantity of stolen cash”.

Anyone who was around Oakley Road, Burghley Road, Campbell Road, Cupar Crescent and East Avenue in Corby on Saturday morning should check any dashcam, CCTV or doorbell-camera footage they might have.
