The energy & business minister Michael Fallon will be the keynote speaker at a major forum organised by the PRA to find ways to halt the decline of the independent forecourt sector and stimulate growth.
At the PRA Regeneration Forum leading industry specialists will give presentations on each of the main issues currently facing independent petrol retailers.
It is envisaged that constructive discussion will ensue to consider practical solutions within an appropriate regulatory framework to meet Government’s priority of industrial growth.
Government ministers, MPs, senior government officials, leading industrialists, representatives from city institutions, police authorities, the Office for Fair Trading and the Valuation Office Agency have also been invited. Members of the PRA will also be attending.
PRA chairman Brian Madderson said: “This is a unique opportunity for industry and Government to work together and begin to solve practical issues adversely affecting a vital retail sector.”
The forum will be held on Wednesday 30 October at 9:30am at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Parliament Square, London, SW1P 3AD. As space is limited, entry will be by invitation only.
