AG Barr’s Rockstar range is being extended with the launch of an Xdurance variant "designed to prepare consumers for extreme mental and physical performance".

The new lightly-carbonated blueberry, pomegranate and acai flavoured drink contains electrolytes, caffeine and vitamin B complex and comes in a 500ml can.

"The big can energy category is experiencing huge growth it’s currently growing five times faster than the total soft drinks category (Nielsen)," says Adrian Troy, head of marketing for AG Barr.

Rockstar has begun a multi-year sponsorship agreement with reigning MotoGP world champion, Jorge Lorenzo.
