Fruit snacks specialist Whitworths is giving the healthy snacking category a boost with the launch of its first-ever crisps product, targeting people who regularly eat crisps but who want ’genuinely’ healthy alternatives.
Its ’better for you’ Apple Crisps come in 10g packs, in outers of 14. Rrp is 35p.
The launch is supported by national sampling, advertising and PR, targeting women’s interest and health titles.
David Smith, Whitworths’ marketing director, says the launch will enable retailers to generate incremental sales from the fast-growing healthy snacks category.
