Nestlé Confectionery has launched an on-pack price promotion exclusively for the wholesale and convenience channel. The activity offers Yorkie milk, Yorkie raisin & biscuit, Toffee Crisp, Rolo and Drifter impulse lines at ’Any 2 for £1’ in price-marked packs. But non-price-marked packs will still be available.
Independent research from Him has shown that in terms of on-pack promotions both retailers and shoppers believe a multibuy price promotion is more motivating than either rounded price points, discounted prices or a percentage extra free. In fact a huge 70% of shoppers questioned said a multibuy price-promotion (ie two for £1) would encourage them to make a purchase.
