Walkers has relaunched its Max range with new packaging for better shelf standout, the removal of MSG, artificial colours and preservatives, as well as a new flavour.

New cheese-burger flavour 47g packs join chargrilled steak, paprika and cheese & onion, all in 50g packs. Rrp is 53p.

According to AC Nielsen data, sales of Walkers Max are growing by 60% in impulse outlets.

Kirk Tanner, Walkers vice president impulse sales, says: "Max is a real winner particularly in the impulse channel and the new cheese-burger flavour will be very popular with young male impulse shoppers. Retailers should stock up now to make the most of the sales opportunity that crisps offer."
