Tangerine Confectionery, the maker of the UK’s number one popcorn brand, Butterkist, has extended the list of options featured in its range, in order to meet the rising sector demands for price marked packs.

Joining the existing price mark pack sharing range of Toffee (100g) and Cinema Sweet (85g) is a Sweet & Salted (85g) and Salted (65g). Both these packs will launch with a £1 flash.

In addition to the new sharing packs, Butterkist is also launching a range of single-serve price-marked packs with a Toffee (50g), a Sweet & Salted (27g) and a Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar (15g). These three new packs will all launch flashed with 55p. These new range extensions cater to both consumers and customers alike, as the popcorn category continues to flourish.

Helena Blincow, Butterkist brand manager, says: “The extension of our range allows us to provide our customers with more choice aligned to their sector requirements. The addition of the new sharing bags will allow us to cater to the growing trend for night-in treats, while the new single-serve packs are perfect for the fast-growing area of snacking on-the-go.

“The Toffee (100g) and the Cinema Sweet (85g) variants in this range will also feature our 100 birthday on-pack promotion, which gives consumers the chance to win thousands of instant cash prizes, making them an even more desirable purchase.”

To mark its milestone anniversary, special golden birthday cards will be hidden inside selected, promotional bags of Butterkist. If consumers find a birthday card inside their pack, all they have to do is simply enter the code found inside the card online at www.butterkist.co.uk or www.facebook.com/ButterkistPopcorn to redeem their cash prize.

Prizes range in value from £5 to £100, and Butterkist is also offering everyone that buys a promotional pack of popcorn 50p off their next Butterkist purchase.
