Chupa Chups is introducing a brand new collection to retailers in time for Christmas.
The Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens drinking cups and ‘Best of’ sharing bags, are timed for the launch of the latest film this December.
The new collectible drinking cups each house ten iconic Chupa Chup lollipops. There are three different designs within the range, each featuring a well-known scene from The Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.
Chupa Chups is also launching a Star Wars edition of its best-selling ‘Best of’ sharing bag.
Trade marketing manager at Perfetti Van Melle Mark Roberts comments: “We’re very excited about our new range. Star Wars has been ranked as the number two boys toy license in Europe, and the last time a film was released, branded merchandise generated $3bn sales.
“We’ve chosen two distinctly different products to license, and are confident that both offer our retail partners a chance to tap into what is expected to be a very large spend. The film marks the start of a new trilogy, so we expect to see an on-going interest and increased awareness of Star Wars merchandise.”
