Ginsters is launching two new limited editions – Chicken Balti Pasty and Spicy Meatball Slice – from 30 December.
Tapping into the growing trend for new flavours from around the world, Chicken Balti Pasty contains 100% British Chicken marinated in a spicy balti sauce with potato, onion and peppers wrapped in light puff pastry. The limited edition Spicy Meatball Slice contains 100% British pork and beef meatballs with onions and mozzarella in a spicy sauce, wrapped in light puff pastry.
Linda Evans, sales and marketing director, said: “We’ve identified a key opportunity within the food to go category for new and exciting flavours, which have been influenced from countries across the globe. Following the success of the limited edition pulled pork slice which generated a double digit percentage sales uplift in the impulse sector, we expect the two new limited edition flavours to perform exceptionally well during the winter months when consumers tend to look for warming, spicier options. Retailers should stock a core range of products alongside limited editions to maximise sales and profits.”
