Imperial Tobacco is unveiled a number of new developments to its Carlton cigarette range.
Carlton’s recommended retail price will be lowered across the range from this month. The new RRP for Carlton King Size and Superking Size 19s, in both full flavour and smooth variants, will be lowered to £6.25. Carlton 10s will also see a reduction in price to £3.25.
Imperial Tobacco’s senior brand manager for Carlton, Madeleine Pearce, said: “Cost is playing an important role for the increasing number of consumers who are looking for lower-priced, quality tobacco products. Through our ongoing consumer research programme we continually strive to improve our products to ensure we meet the demands of price conscious consumers while maintaining competitive profit margins for retailers.”
Other new developments to the Carlton portfolio include the launch of Carlton King Size Smooth 19s in a price marked pack and a new design across the range which sees the existing pack change colour from grey to white.
