Strathmore water has been announced as the national supplier of bottled water for the IAAF World Indoor Championships Birmingham 2018.
Athletes, officials and volunteers at the event, which is the biggest indoor sports event to be staged in Birmingham for 15 years, will be hydrated by more than 60,000 bottles of water supplied by the water brand.
Strathmore water will be made available for athletes, officials and volunteers at the official venue, plus at other key sites including the Birmingham High Performance Centre, the training venue for the Championships, and in all of the official hotels. It will also be on sale throughout Arena Birmingham for spectators attending the event. All the water bottles are recyclable and recycling facilities will be provided.
Championships director Joan Durose said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Strathmore as the supplier of bottled water. It is vital for the world-class athletes competing at the Championships and for all those working hard behind the scenes to deliver a successful event, to have easy access to water to stay hydrated throughout this major sports event.”
