Maynards’ limited edition bags, Wine Gums Red ‘n Blacks, are returning and extending their availability to all year round.
Elisabeth Huelsmann, senior brand manager for Candy at Mondelēz International, said the 165g bag containing the two favourite flavours within the range – blackcurrant and strawberry - is being brought back to the market due to consumer demand.
Maynards Wine Gums Red ‘n Blacks was launched in 2003 and returned in 2009. Huelsmann said: “Maynards is a well-loved heritage brand, worth £68.3m. These Wine Gum packs have been a huge success with consumers, so much so that consumers have been appealing for their return on social media over the last few years.
“This time, we’re making them a permanent addition to the range so we aim to build on the strong performance and bring even more consumers to the category with this line extension – retailers should stock up now to make the most of the opportunity.”
