Pot Noodle’s latest flavour is southern fried chicken. The flavour was chosen because currently nine of the top 20 pot snacks on the market are chicken flavour and also because southern fried chicken flavour is difficult to replicate at home.
The new Pot Noodle comes in striking ‘stars and stripes’ packaging so it really stands out on shelf.
Unilever advises retailers to add the new flavour to existing pot snacks fixtures that have three shelves or more.
Southern fried chicken will be supported by a £1m marketing campaign, which includes an official link up with MTV and the new Dukes of Hazzard film.
The snack comes in cases of 12; recommended retail price is 77p.
