PG Tips is adding three ’fresh tasting’ tea blends to its range. The Fresh One pressed within hours of picking to give a clean, smooth tea; The Strong One a full-flavour blend with extra-pressed leaves; and The Delicate One a decaffeinated tea blend made with lightly pressed leaves.
The new teas will be backed by a £3.5m marketing campaign in the first six months of launch, with £12m spent across the first three years. Activity will include TV, print, sampling and in-store activity.
With the launch of the new blends, PG Tips aims to grow the tea category by building consumers’ repertoire and increasing the amount of tea they drink over the course of a day.
