Fresh Food For Now Company is tapping into the popularity of protein rich snacks with the re-introduction of two savoury chilled bars which were previously made by its sister business Ginsters.
Described as “hunger-busting” the Buffet Bar and Scotch Egg Bar have listings with numerous leading forecourt operators including Ascona, MFG, SGN, Park Garage Group, and Penny Petroleum.
The brand, owned by Samworth Brothers, describes its Buffet Bar as a “picnic in one bite”. It is made with 100% British sausage meat filled with crunchy coleslaw, soft cheese and creamy mayo, and is wrapped in crispy golden breadcrumbs.
The Scotch Egg Bar is filled with chopped egg, sausage meat, and seasoned egg mayonnaise, and in a breadcrumb coating.
The bars are on an initial £1.99 promotion, after which they will retail at £2.49.
Wayne Greensmith, head of customer marketing at Fresh Food For Now Company, says that the re-launched version of the Ginsters bars are benefiting from new packaging and ingredients. “Don’t sleep on this launch – with the nostalgia surrounding the format, and the fact there’s nothing quite like it on the market, this tasty twosome will be flying off your fixture,” he adds.
