The impressive Portsbridge Service Station in Cosham, Portsmouth, was so good that it also took our top prize of Forecourt Trader of the Year 2014.

Having closed in August 2013, the site was rebuilt and re-opened in April 2014 complete with a 2,200sq ft Nisa-branded convenience store and state-of-the-art forecourt facilities. Co-owner Tim Garner said they were delighted to win and communicated this to customers via banners, media messaging on screens at the pumps and tills, and also by having the Forecourt Trader of the Year trophy proudly on display at the counter.

He says: "We’ve worked hard to create a nice, friendly atmosphere in the shop and have been getting some very good feedback on that. Having won the top award, the hardest thing now is to keep up the standards as the business grows but we’re determined to succeed."
