Businesses in Devon and Cornwall that hold or store fuel are being urged by police to review their security after a major theft of diesel.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information after £30,000 worth of diesel was stolen from a business premises at Bodmin Business Park.
The theft occurred sometime between midnight and 4am on Friday 26 February.
The targeted business backs on to A30 Callywith slip road. A light coloured, six or eight-wheel box lorry with a wind deflector over the cab, was seen to pull up in a layby, leaving eastbound on the A30.
Together with the appeal for information officers also urged businesses that hold or store fuel to review their security.
Any witnesses, including anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity prior to the incident, or anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam footage of the area at the time, is asked to contact 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime CR/015028/21.
