A busy BP service station on the A140 in North Norfolk was closed on Wednesday morning (July 14) after it ran out of fuel because of issues with its supply chain.

BP confirmed the filling station, located on Burgh Road in Aylsham, was closed, but was expected to reopen later in the day.

A spokesperson from BP told Eastern Daily Press that Covid isolations had impacted supply and added the company was working hard to offset the impact.

They said: “We are aware of the fuel situation at Aylsham SF Connect.

“We have a number of Covid isolations impacting our supply chain but we are working hard to minimise any disruption to our customers and expect Aylsham to be trading as normal later today.”
