EG On The Move has launched a service station in Stowmarket, Suffolk: its first to open in partnership with Co-op after a successful trial which went live last summer.
The 24-hour, new to market site is on the A1308 Needham Road, and includes a branch of Delice de France, open between 6am-2pm.
Also in the modern, glass-fronted store is a self-service Starbucks coffee on-the-go machine, bakery products and hot food; alongside a focus on quality fresh, chilled and healthy produce. There are meal deals, freshly prepared sandwiches, car care products, ready-meals, pizzas and, everyday essentials.

On the forecourt there are four ultra rapid EV charging points, and eight pumps with both standard and premium unleaded and diesel fuel. Air and vacuum is also available, with two jet washes coming soon.
In July last year, Co-op announced that it had signed a franchise agreement with Zuber Issa’s EG On The Move for an initial seven forecourts. And it says that it now has “shared ambitions” with the Top 50 Indie to launch further sites together later this year.
It is part of a wider ambition for the grocery operator to have recruited 165 independent forecourts by 2030. EG On The Move was its second forecourt operator to sign up to the franchise agreement, after fellow Top 50 Indie operator SGN.

Martin Rogers, director of partnership development, Co-op, says that he is delighted to be joining forces with EG On The Move with its latest site “developing a compelling forecourt and convenience food offering as our partnership looks to expand”.
He adds: “We are focused on scaling our franchise business, this is the first site to open together following our successful trial, and we are exploring more locations for joint growth. By combining our membership , convenience knowledge, tailored product ranges, and automated supply, with EG On The Move’s fuel and franchise expertise, we will bring the benefits of Co-op to more communities together.”
Zuber Issa, chief executive of EG On The Move, adds: “As a trusted, quality, convenience retailer our partnerships with Co-op aligns with EG On The Move as an acknowledged petrol forecourt and convenience retail destination operator.
“We are delighted to collaborate on our latest site, and we look forward to growing our relationship with Co-op in the future. Our work with Co-op enhances our convenience store offer, ensuring our customers have access to exceptional fuel retail services including EV charging, a wide choice of premium grocery products and essentials, along with an enjoyable foodservice experience.”
