Essex Police have arrested a man following a suspected arson attack at a petrol station in the early hours of Monday August 9.
Officers attended the Applegreen Service Station near Epping, Essex, after they saw smoke rising in the area.
A car wash on the forecourt was alight and the fire service was called.
At the scene, officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of committing arson. He remains in custody for questioning.
The fire was promptly put out and no one was injured. Essex Police said they are working with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service to determine the cause of the fire.
