Officers from Greater Manchester Police are investigating an attempted murder at a petrol station.
At around 2.10am on Saturday 19 September police were called by the ambulance service responding to a report of an injured man on The Grove, Flixton.
Officers attended and established that a man in his 20s had been assaulted at the Texaco petrol station on nearby Carrington Road. The offenders are believed to have fled the scene in a grey or silver Vauxhall Mokka in the direction of Carrington.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. An investigation is under way, and no arrests have been made.
Detective inspector Darren Scarr, of GMP’s Trafford district, said: “This was a serious incident which has left a young man with multiple injuries. He remains in hospital but is described as being in a stable condition.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would appeal to anyone with information which may assist us to contact us or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
“We understand incidents like this cause concern within communities but I would like to offer some reassurance by saying that we do not believe this was a random attack and that extra officers are in the area.”
