RaceTrack Pitstop Bearsden: the first forecourt in the network to take Co-op Wholesale food and drink

RaceTrack Pitstop Bearsden, known more for its banks of slush machines, American confectionery and Instagrammable desserts than for fresh food, is the first of the Scottish chain’s forecourts to partner with Co-op Wholesale.

It is one of an initial four of the operator’s sites across Glasgow – the rest are standalone convenience stores – to be included in a five-year deal to incorporate the ’Proud to Stock Co-op’ signage.

It will give the Duntocher Road BP petrol station access to a strong chilled range, which Co-op Wholesale is renowned for, including a meals for tonight offer and the premium Irresistible own-brand, as well as award-winning wines.

The first of the four stores, out of RaceTrack Pitstop’s 12 locations, will go live with the new range in September.

RaceTrack Pitshop retail manager Guna Sud says: “Partnering with Co-op Wholesale is the perfect next step in our journey as we expand our store portfolio.

“Our new and we hope long-lasting partnership allows us to further enhance our retail offering, giving us an even greater point of difference in the market and delivering more value for our customers, every day.”

Ian King, business development and growth director at Co-op Wholesale, adds: “We’re delighted to be working with such a well-respected operator in RaceTrack Pitstop. It’s highly thought of by both industry peers and shoppers alike, thanks to its clear focus on value, quality and customer experience.

“This partnership reflects the strength of our wholesale offering and our continued commitment to supporting ambitious independent retailers with the value, service and scale they need to grow and serve their customers’ needs.”
