Proposed site layout for Buriton site

Rapleys has been appointed to sell destination charging firm, Recharge One’s land for a flagship site at Buriton, near Petersfield in Hampshire.

The six-acre site, located just off the A3, is part of the South Downs National Park and has planning consent for a state-of-the-art roadside service area providing restaurant, retail and 120 EV chargers. Further potential for the scheme comes from 60 eco-lodges and associated hospitality infrastructure.

With direct access from both carriageways of the A3 and limited regional competition, the site benefits from over 57,000 vehicles passing daily. The project is designed to operate primarily off-grid, with a robust back-up from SSEN providing 3.7MW of power, ensuring energy security is not an issue.

Mark Frostick, associate partner at Rapleys, says: “Recharge One is open to all types of enquiries, from forward-thinking developers to investors seeking to expand into sustainable hospitality and EV infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to engage with a fully permitted, environmentally conscious project with significant expansion potential.”

Closing date for offers is October 30.
