Motorway services operator Roadchef is expanding its partnership with Pret A Manger, adding the food to go brand at two more locations.
Its site at Clacket Lane West (M25) is due to go live next Tuesday (July 28), joining Taunton Deane (M5) which already has a unit selling the brand’s freshly made food and organic coffee, teas and iced drinks.
Customers will have access to Pret’s full menu – from 7am to 7pm – including freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, hot food, snacks and baked goods, and the All-Butter Croissant, Chicken Caesar Bacon Baguette, and Posh Cheddar & Pickle Baguette favourites.
Roadchef says the openings reflect its focus on responding to the changing needs of road users. It follows its announcement in spring that it is investing more than £300 million in improving its estate over the next five years.
This programme will support new retail and catering concepts, enhanced EV charging infrastructure, upgraded HGV driver facilities and the development of new sites, it says.
“Continuing to grow our partnership with Pret is another important step in strengthening the food and drink offer across our motorway service areas,” says Roadchef brands director Dan Sutton. “We’re committed to working with the very best brands to provide customers with greater choice, quality and convenience, helping to make every journey a better experience.”
Sam Otterburn, head of franchise at Pret A Manger, adds: “Expanding across transport hubs is an important part of our growth strategy. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers at both Taunton Deane South and Clacket Lane West.”
