An F1 aficionado has been revealed as the winner of Spar Bowness’ Scuderia Ferrari merchandise competition.
Simon Rigg, from Kendal, is an avid F1 fan and was one of hundreds of motorsport enthusiasts to flock to SparBowness to see Charles Leclerc’s 2021 racing machine on the store’s forecourt.
The car, in Scuderia Ferrari’s 2025 livery, was on display at the store in August courtesy of Spar’s relationship with Shell, as part of the Bowness store’s Summer of Fun celebrating its first anniversary.
Rigg won a Scuderia Ferrari F1 T-shirt, cap, umbrella and water bottle, and was delighted to collect his goodies from store team member Sharon Morton.
He says: “I am a huge motorsport fan, and I am thrilled to have won the merchandise. It was fantastic to see the Ferrari up close for free at Spar Bowness over the summer as these opportunities are rare. A big thank you to Spar and to Shell for putting the event on.”
