Broham Forecourt Developments will soon start work turning this site into a new Tankerford petrol station

Work is about to start on Top 50 Indie Tankerford’s Drayton Road, Norwich site with Broham Forecourt Developments engaged to transform the abandoned plot into a modern petrol filling station.

The site had previously traded as the Carscene used-car business but years before that it had been a petrol forecourt.

Tankerford was granted planning permission last November to completely redevelop the site with a 24-hour forecourt with three pumps islands, four jet wash bays and air/water/vacuum facilities. Retail-wise there will be a 3,100sq ft glass-fronted shop which will include a 270sq ft food-to-go concession. There will also be parking for 10 cars, launderette and parcel services.

Broham Forecourt Developments says the site is located on the busy A1067 corridor, with Drayton Road one of the main routes into Norwich. It also sits within an area that has seen significant residential and commercial growth in recent years, making it an ideal location for investment and regeneration. It is right next door to an Aldi, which is bound to give it trade.la

A spokesperson for Broham says: “This project will bring a vacant site back into productive use, creating a valuable amenity for both local residents and passing motorists.

”We’re looking forward to getting started and sharing progress as this exciting redevelopment takes shape.”
