Cash and cigarettes were stolen during an armed robbery from a service station in Lancashire.
The incident occurred just after midnight on Sunday September 25 at the BP service station on County Road, Ormskirk, when two men wearing face coverings entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes.
One offender was armed with a hammer, which was pointed towards a customer, while the second offender approached the till armed with a small knife.
The men then made off towards Fire Station Island on the A59, with around £265 in cash and almost £100 worth of cigarettes.
Detective constable Martin Sullivan, of Skelmersdale CID, said: “This was a terrifying incident for the member of staff and those who witnessed it, and we are now appealing for any information which could help with our enquiries.
“Maybe you were in the area at the time and saw something, maybe you recognise the descriptions of the men or maybe you overheard someone talking about the incident.
“If you have any information, however small, we would urge you to contact us.”
Both offenders are described as white males, around 5ft 8ins tall, wearing casual clothing and speaking with Liverpudlian accents.
