It was only this summer that we reported how the Biswas family, which previously owned forecourts around London, had purchased a filling station on a two-acre plot beside a main road in Norfolk; now, planning documents reveal what the family has in store for the site.
The Murco filling station is set to remain largely unchanged in its layout, but the family is seeking permission from local authorities to install a pair of jet-wash bays, formalised parking arrangements, a new forecourt canopy, and a 45,000-litre above-ground fuel tank.
The freehold site sits in an affluent area and features two pump islands, plus a separate MOT workshop and three-bedroom flat.
While the borough council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk has yet to decide on the proposals, Northwold & Whittington Parish Council has lent its support to them.
