The family firm has raised tens of thousands for good causes

Co-op Wholesale is enjoying a fresh win in the competitive business of supplying forecourt shops, having signed a five-year deal for a series of family-owned sites in Wales.

Griffiths Forecourts operates three filling stations with Nisa Local stores in the south of the country, and has renewed with Co-op Wholesale at its Llantwit Fardre, Bridgend, and Miskin sites.

The firm has been in the forecourt business for generations. Directors Brett and Daniel Griffiths say the partnership with Co-op Wholesale has been “mutually beneficial”, and is a “testament to the strength of that partnership”. The working relationship between the two companies has seen Griffiths raise over £40,000 via Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally charity. The pair added that they are “proud to be building on our family’s legacy while continuing to evolve our stores for the future”.

Co-op Wholesale’s partnerships and sales director, Paul Webster, calls Griffiths Forecourts “a fantastic example of a family business that’s grown and thrived while staying rooted in its local communities”. He adds that the company’s “long-standing commitment to quality and service” mirrors Co-op Wholesale’s, and his firm is “delighted” to continue to work with the family.
