Just days after it won business from a Somerset operator who had been with a rival supplier for decades, Co-op Wholesale has announced a new partnership with three forecourts operated by Devon-based Holliss Filling Stations.
Holliss’ Dartmouth store has relaunched following a comprehensive redevelopment, with self-service tills and an in-store bakery being installed, together with an expanded chilled-food offering and new ‘Co-op Proud to Stock’ branding. The forecourt switched fuel supplier and livery from BP to Esso during the makeover, too.
Holliss’ Halwell, and Modbury forecourts will move over to Co-Op Wholesale and associated branding imminently.
The firm marked the Dartmouth redevelopment by donating £500 to Dartmouth Community Chest via Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally charity.
Company boss Julian Holliss commented: “As a family business rooted in our local communities for more than half a century, choosing the right long-term partner really matters. The Co‑op Wholesale model gives us clarity, consistency and strong commercial foundations”.
