A new filling station in Blackburn, Lancashire, has been opened by EG On The Move. The site, known as West End, was previously a Morrisons forecourt, and has now been revitalised by the EGOTM treatment.
The forecourt shop is a Spar-branded endeavour featuring Iceland produce, part of a partnership between EGOTM and the frozen-food firm that was announced in April following a successful trial.
The filling station, on Preston Road, sits to the west of central Blackburn. As well as offerings from Iceland, food-to-go from Greggs features, while a Cake Box concession selling fresh treats sits alongside Ambala, which makes Asian sweets such as baklawa, ladoos and rasmalai.
EG On The Move opened its 150th forecourt in April this year, while co-founder Zuber Issa is reportedly in talks to purchase Castrol oil from BP, news that came hot on the heels of an investment in Duckams oils.
