A planning application has been submitted to Cumberland Council for a new EG On The Move filling station and drive-thru coffee shop in Carlisle.
The intended site is an undeveloped field next to a Lidl supermarket close to the city centre on the A69 Warwick Road, a major east-west thoroughfare connecting the city with Newcastle.
If approved, the forecourt will follow the established EGOTM formula, with a four-pump forecourt overlooked by a glass-fronted 5,000sq ft shop, with customer parking in front.
A pair of jet wash bays also features in the plans as do further parking bays, while adjoining the forecourt will be a 2,000sq ft coffee shop with drive-thru facility.
EG On The Move also intends to install an eight-bay EV charging hub at the site.
