A series of classic-car meets is taking place at forecourts across England and Scotland this September, kicking off with a gathering of Triumph Stags at Gulf Wivelsfield, East Sussex, last Saturday morning (September 6).
The events are being organised by Gulf, with the Wivelsfield Stag meet being followed by gatherings at the following sites:
Gulf Lichfield Service Station, Stoke-on-Trent took place on Sunday, September 7; Gulf Tewkesbury Service Station, on Saturday, September 13; Gulf Lowmoss Service Station, Glasgow on Sunday, September 14; and Gulf Witton Gilbert Service Station, Durham, on Sunday, September 14.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the meets, with cars being brought by owners’ clubs, namely the Glasgow Moggies, The Durham MG and Classic Car Club, Cotswold Classic Car Club, TR Stoke Group and the West Sussex Stag Owners Club.
Andre Salvidge, manager of Gulf Wivelsfield Service Station, which hosted the West Sussex Stag Owners Club on September 6, says: “It’s not every day you get to see pristine cars that date back to the 1970s.”
Giveaways will be on offer at the gatherings, with Gulf merchandise, cinema tickets and a road trip along the Amalfi coast in Italy up for grabs. The competition can be entered online following a purchase being made from a participating Gulf forecourt.
The Italian trip is part of Gulf’s collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment ahead of the release of A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey, starring Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie.
