A Belfast forecourt store has reopened following a £1m upgrade, with the improvements bringing 20 new jobs to the area.
The Eurospar Springfield Road site now covers 5,844sq ft, and is now open 24 hours a day, employing 65 staff. The revamped site now features a butcher’s counter, food-to-go deli, bakery, and Subway concession, alongside an off licence, coffee machine and a pair of cashpoints.
The site is owned by Gavan and Helen Wall who operate six Spar and two larger Eurospar stores in north and west Belfast, and acquired the Springfield Road site in 2025.
The pair have further improvements planned for the site, with a second phase of investment set to bring new fuel pumps and expanded parking facilities.
Gavan Wall says he is “delighted to add another Eurospar to our network of stores which are providing local jobs and supporting local producers and suppliers”.
He adds: “We are looking forward to phase two of the refurbishment which will redevelop the exterior of the store including relocating pumps, new external imagery and increased car parking space for our shoppers’ convenience.”
