The deal comes as Valero continues its UK expansion, and MFG (Conway site pictured) continues to review its fuel suppliers.

MFG has announced it is taking fuel from Valero for the first time, having adopted the US firm’s liveries at three of its forecourts.

MFG Conway in Swansea; Parkside in Birmingham; and Witney in Oxfordshire all now wear Valero canopies. The Swansea and Birmingham forecourts were previously supplied by Texaco, while the Witney station used to feature a Shell canopy.

Valero’s 2023 UK debut marked the first time a fuel brand had launched here in over a decate, with the distinctive yellow/white/blue canopy first being kitted out at Ascona’s flagship forecourt in Pembroke. Valero also operates a refinery in the Welsh town, producing up to 270,000 barrels a day of petrol, diesel, jet fuel, heating and fuel oil.

The company has since been taken up by over 40 other filling stations, and was recognised at Forecourt Trader’s 2025 awards, where it took home our ’best oil company initiative’ trophy.

The Texan firm was founded in 1980, taking its name from the famed Alamo mission and fortress. Valero has 3,000 miles of pipeline, including 300 miles’ worth in the UK, and 15 refineries worldwide.

MFG, meanwhile, operates over 1,200 UK forecourts here, and has changed fuel suppliers at several sites this year as part of a strategic rethink. The firm said it is “thrilled to welcome Valero as an additional fuel brand to our estate”.
