A planning application to extend a Morrisons forecourt in Troon, South Ayrshire, has been submitted to local authorities by MFG.
If approved, the development will see the site’s convenience shop significantly extended to offer hot food to go, with a rollover car wash being removed to allow the expansion.
The 2,000sq ft extension will also entail the shop entrance being relocated to bring customers in through the new café area. The build is set to be finished with masonry bricks to remain in keeping with the existing kiosk.
This application follows an approved submission made for the same site last year, which detailed MFG’s desire to extend the forecourt shop – though without the food-to-go provision.
The earlier, approved application also detailed that while the shop extension will see the rollover car wash demolished, valeting will be catered for by four new jet wash bays.
Also set to be installed are eight EV charging bays served by four Alpitronic charging units, and covered with a canopy.
