A new roadside services featuring a coffee shop, a self-storage facility and EV charging has been approved by planners for Birmingham, with no petrol station featuring in the project.
The services recently gained planning consent from Solihull Borough Council, giving developers Burney Estates Development the green light to construct a Starbucks coffee-shop and drive-thru alongside an eight-bay Instavolt EV charging hub and a self-storage facility, together with 55 parking spaces.
The project will be built on a vacant plot of land a stone’s throw from the A452, and minutes from the M6 in the east of the city.
Once complete a “large number” of full and part time jobs will be created.
