An outline planning application has been submitted to Shropshire Council to construct a new £30m business park complete with petrol station, kiosk shop and EV charging.
If the plans for Arfield Business Park get the go-ahead, the 14.8-acre plot, which currently comprises arable land just south of Whitchurch, will eventually be home to 168,000sq ft of units that could be used for offices, research and design, and light industrial purposes.
Around 100 businesses and just under 600 jobs could be located at the park, while a drive-thru restaurant and day nursery also feature in the proposals, put forward by real-estate firm Property Capital Plc.
The outline planning status means details are thin on the ground at present, though one supportive and one objecting public comment have already been submitted to the local authority.
