Motorway services operator Roadchef has again been recognised as one of the best companies to work for in the UK, being named the best firm in Scotland, and the third best firm employing over 2,000 people in the UK.
The recognition comes from the Best Companies awards, which also named Roadchef the second-best employer in the hospitality and leisure sector.
The 2025 awards build on Roadchef’s performance last year, when it placed fifth in the hospitality and leisure sector, and fourth in the best ‘big’ company bracket.
Roadchef operates 31 MSAs and employs around 4,000 people, and has consistently focussed on employee relations, gaining Platinum-level Investors in People (IIP) accreditation in 2023, an winning three-star accreditation from Best Companies in 2024.
Roadchef’s HR director, Laura Bunn, ascribed the company’s success to spending “years building initiatives that truly make a difference to our teams, from wellbeing support to leadership development”.
Bunn added that “the people within the business are our greatest asset and our company culture is the bedrock of our success”.
