A Murco-livered filling station in West Suffolk is set for a comprehensive makeover after a planning application was submitted to the local authority seeking permission to demolish the site and rebuild it.
Stradishall Service Station sits in a village 10 miles south-west of Bury St Edmunds and currently comprises two pump islands and a small 160sq ft kiosk shop, together with a vehicle workshop that no longer trades.
Developers Judvia Contract Services are seeking to level the plot and uproot all existing tanks and lines, installing in their place four pump islands an 80,000-litre underground tank with four compartments, while erecting a new shop.
The retail offering is set to comprise a 970sq ft glass-fronted shop featuring a food-prep area and serving counter, while outside will be a jet-wash bay and a pair of EV charging spots.
