Me Group, the firm behind Wash.Me launderette machines, expects its revenue for the year to be between £311m and £318m, up from £308m in 2024. The group is predicting to make a pre-tax profit of £76m to £79m, up from £73.4m, and is currently seeking offerors ahead of a potential sale.
Me Group, which is based in Epsom, Surrey, began life as a photobooth operator in the 1950s, but now says laundrette operations represent its “fastest growing business area”.
Laundry revenue grew by 11% in FY 2025 with 1,145 new Wash.Me machines installed, up from 900 in 2024.
Me Group also operates children’s rides and food vending machines, while its photobooth operations declined by 4% in FY 2025 and 3% in 2024.
Photo operations grew in Belgium and the Netherlands, but regulatory changes in Germany requiring passport photos to be taken in official citizens’ offices (Bürgeramt) or by certified photographers negatively impacted the group’s business here.
Fluctuating share prices earlier in the year saw the firm state that it is “evaluating strategic options to enhance shareholder value”, with one of these options being to seek ”potential offerors” to buy the group. In its year-end trading update for FY 2025 the company said: “This process is ongoing, and a further update will be provided in due course.”
