Arla Foods is entering the cottage cheese category. The Arla Cottage Cheese range aims to tap into renewed demand for high-protein, versatile dairy and aims to broaden appeal among younger, protein-seeking shoppers while driving value growth for retailers.
Arla Cottage Cheese launches in natural and low fat natural in 500g (£3.00 minimum rrp) and 300g (£1.90 minimum rrp) formats. Arla says that it will drive further innovation in cottage cheese, with new flavours and formats planned for rollout later this year.
Brand director at Arla Foods, Stuart Ibberson, says: “Cottage cheese is back on shoppers’ radar for good reasons – taste, versatility and protein.”
He adds: ”With Arla Cottage Cheese, we’re bringing the reassurance and reach of the Arla masterbrand to help retailers trade the fixture up, recruit younger shoppers and unlock repeat purchases through everyday usage. Penetration is building, and the UK still under-indexes versus other markets and adjacent dairy protein categories, so there’s clear runway for future growth.”
