The Co-op has launched a range of mini meals for the growing number of people with smaller appetites on weight loss jabs.
Its own-brand GLP-1 friendly meals mark a UK convenience first, as data reveals that 3% of the UK population – which is the equivalent of one in every 30 people – is now using a form of weight loss medication.
Each product in the Good Fuel range has a high protein and fibre content, and at least two portions of the five a day.
Inspired by global cuisines and priced at £3.50 each, the 250g meals include Butternut Squash, Beans & Grains; Chicken & Sweet Potato Penang Curry; and Chicken & Courgette Alfredo Pasta.
Nicole Tallant, retail trading director, says: ”Our members and customers are changing the way they approach health. There’s also a growing need to cater for smaller appetites with meals that provide the quality without so much of the quantity. This whole new range is amied at supporting shoppers’ wellbeing in a meaningful, accessible and convenient way.”
