Pladis is launching a new range of snacks from Jacob’s. Jacob’s Bites are generously seasoned biscuits that have been oven baked with no artificial colours or flavours. They come in Mature Cheddar & Caramelised Onion, Red Leicester, Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream and Smoked Paprika flavours.
Asli Akman, marketing director – savoury at Pladis UK&I, said: “We have spotted an unmissable opportunity to unlock further growth with a new range which will take Jacob’s beyond the cheeseboard and into brand new snacking occasions.
“Brits are snacking more than ever and this means more and more shoppers are looking for quick, grab-and-go options for sharing, but existing savoury biscuits formats aren’t fit for purpose when it comes to these new snacking moments. As a result, the category currently under-trades in almost two-thirds of all savoury snack occasions (64% - Kantar), which means there’s a huge growth opportunity for the taking.”
Jacob’s Bites (rrp £2) are already available in Tesco and will roll out more widely from mid-August.
