It was such a joy to see the prestigious Forecourt Trader Awards back to its best in October, as we celebrated the latest line-up of amazing retailers.
After the recent Covid years, there was a bumper turnout as guests from all elements of the fuel retailing community enjoyed a wonderful evening of networking and entertainment, as we saluted the incredible efforts of service station operators and their staff, nationwide.
Many congratulations in particular go to this year’s Forecourt Trader of the Year, MFG Shell Putney, whose store manager Indre Aulaseviciene was the star of the evening as she picked up the top award on behalf of the site.
A big hand also goes to Darren Briggs, MD and CEO of the Ascona Group, who was voted by readers of Forecourt Trader as winner of the Special Recognition category. What a story he has to tell – an amazing tale of never giving up.
But there were many other notable stories of success, both from the finalists as well as the eventual victors, and it is this drive and entrepreneurial skill that the resilient forecourt sector will need to navigate the bumpy road ahead.
Meanwhile, we have now put to bed the last print edition of Forecourt Trader, the fuel-retailing sector’s leading and highly respected publication, as we move ahead to put greater focus on our well-established digital media and prestigious events.
It’s an exciting new chapter for us, as we begin to add even more content to our digital offer and continue to develop our great events which connect and celebrate the industry like no others – The Forecourt Trader Awards, Summit and The Forecourt Show. We will also continue to publish the unique Top 50 Indies ranking and comprehensive annual Fuel Market Review.
