Brian Madderson, who served as chairman of the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA) for 13 years until his retirement in 2022, has been appointed chairman of Forecourt Eye, the forecourt intelligence and analytics provider.
During his tenure at PRA, Madderson developed strategic partnerships with innovative suppliers offering solutions to the fuel retail industry. Forecourt Eye was among the select companies he recognised for its contribution to the sector.
“I’ve known Forecourt Eye for many years and have always been impressed by their commitment to delivering actionable business intelligence that drives real business value,” said Madderson. “Their work with the UK’s biggest fuel retailer and most prestigious fuel brand demonstrates the trust the industry places in their capabilities.”
Forecourt Eye specialises in advanced ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) technology and comprehensive forecourt analytics, helping fuel retailers optimise operations, enhance customer experience and identify growth opportunities. The company serves clients across the UK retail fuel network, from major operators to independent forecourt owners.
“Data security and integrity are non-negotiable in our industry,” Madderson emphasised. “Forecourt Eye’s rigorous approach to data protection and their commitment to maintaining the highest security standards set them apart in the marketplace.”
Madderson continues his role as chairman of the Car Wash Association, working to eliminate non-compliant hand car wash operations while supporting legitimate businesses in the valeting sector.
His appointment brings decades of industry expertise and an extensive network of relationships across the fuel retail sector to Forecourt Eye’s board, positioning the company for continued growth and innovation.
