
Independent forecourt operator Danny Ahmed has been granted planning permission to reopen a Wolverhampton forecourt that last sold fuel in 2011.
In the intervening years the Linthouse Lane site has been host to a used-car dealership, but Ahmed’s project will see PFS operations reinstated, while an MOT workshop on the plot will be retained.
The development is part of a Ahmed’s plan to grow his portfolio from four sites to 10 by the end of the decade.
Trading as Holloway Head Service Stations, Ahmed will build a new, glass-fronted shop with 1,786sq ft of retail space and a Morrisons Daily fascia. A fresh canopy will be erected as the site is redeveloped, while two new 35,000-litre underground tanks will be installed, and the site will be future proofed for EV charging.
City of Wolverhampton council is still decide on an application for an alcohol licence for the shop, with sales proposed to be allowed between 7am and 11pm.
