For the Best Forecourt Fuel Brand award, shopper research specialist HIM analysed the responses from more than 2,000 forecourt customers to discover which forecourt fuel brand they rated the highest.
The customers were asked to rate the fuel brands against five main criteria:
value for money
Tesco was the outright winner across the board, compared with all the major forecourt fuel brands; scoring between 26% and 31% in each of the criteria.
At the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards event last autumn, host Alexander Armstrong and HIM’s research director Blake Gladman, presented Joel Menezes, Tesco regional PFS manager, with the award for Best Forecourt Fuel Brand.
In Forecourt Trader’s 2015 Fuel Market Review, Tesco was listed as the biggest forecourt fuel brand, having a 16.5% share of the UK market, sold across more than 500 sites.
