BP’s Wild Bean Café has prided itself on its coffee offering for more than a decade but last year it decided to refresh its offer.

The relaunch looked at all aspects of the offer from the way it is sign-posted to consumers and new training for the staff to widening the range to take account of changing consumer expectations.

To highlight the offer there are new banners and shop wall posters while new semi barista machines are the focal point when approaching the café with their coloured lights. Prior to the relaunch all staff went on a training course which comprises two parts: a classroom session providing team members with in-depth product knowledge; and hands-on training at the purpose-built testing facility where staff could learn about coffee preparation and machine maintenance.

The range was also widened to offer skinny, soy and whole milk options in addition to the usual semi-skimmed.
