Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS), a Dover company that delivers advanced fuel dispensing equipment, electronic systems and payment, fleet systems, automatic tank gauging and wetstock management, has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety System (OHS) standard for its manufacturing facility in Dundee.
The recently released ISO 45001:2018 OHS, the successor to OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), is an internationally recognised standard which requires organisations to identify, manage and strictly control health and safety risks in their workplace, and create better and safer working conditions for their employees. The certification is awarded by the BSI Group and sets a benchmark of expertise and excellence for operations at the DFS site in Dundee.
The manufacturing facility in Dundee, which is also ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified, is the largest DFS plant in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and hosts the production of Tokheim Quantium fuel dispensers and Wayne Helix fuel dispensers, among other DFS products.
Jeroen de Gruijter, managing director EMEA for DFS, said: “This is a fantastic achievement which would not be possible without sheer dedication and significant effort of the entire team at the Dundee facility, and their drive to create a safe, healthy and risk-free working environment.
“The accreditation highlights the DFS commitment to providing the highest standards of safety as part of its culture. We will continue to invest in the improvement of our processes and procedures to demonstrate a forward-thinking, proactive approach, resulting in a positive impact for our stakeholders.”
